Working on something new

So right now I'm trying something new. Normally I NEVER draw backgrounds, because they are a pain in the ass. But if I want to make comics and graphic novelles, then I have to learn, and there is only one way to do that. PRACTICE and hard work. I'll post the finished drawing as soon it is done.

Sooo, it's been a year.

HUGE opdate, won't be in order right now, or have any text, just the overall things I've made the past year.

It's Christmas!

So I haven't posted anything for quite a while, since we haven't been at the animation workshop for weeks and won't be until three weeks after Christmas. And speaking off Christmas, it's just around the corner. Man I can't believe it has been five months already.

For Christmas I'm going home to my mom and her husband, but I'll be home in Viborg again by the 25th.

And this year I was asked by a former classmate of mine to draw her two dogs as a Christmas present for her fiance. They turned out pretty good, I think. Well that's it for me this time, so Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Just another Croquis lesson... Or is it?

So today we had Croquis again. It was really nice since it's been a while. The other thing that made it a bit more exiting today was that we had a male model for the first time. I must admit that I was a little nervous because I thought that it was gonna be really difficult, but as soon I got a good rythem it went (I think) pretty damn well. Today was also the first time we did 15 min drawings. I really enjoyed that because I could focus a bit more on details. So tomorrow we are gonna have Croquis again and it will be the same model as today, but I won't have time to upload them tomorrow since I'm going home to my sister's place right after school.

Hjertespejl

For the past 3 weeks we have been working on a really big project. In Aarhus there is this play or it's more really a theater concert and the name is "Hjertespejl" or in English "heart mirror"
The play is built over H.C Andersen’s "Snedronningen" or "The Snow queen"
So there were these assignments and we could just choose which one we wanted to work on. I chose the assignment where there is snow and a bird involved. The assignment was to make a bird fly around and then "explode" in to snow.

I mostly worked on the bird, one from my group helped with the design.
The bird is 100% made of paper, and it took me about 4 days to finish it.

It has really been a great experience
to work on this, and I love how much faith our teacher has in us. She believed that we could actually do this and make it work. I love this school <3

Our mood board. We were going after a kinda "Limbo" feel to it.

I was watching my teacher's dog one day, Charlie, and I just had to take a picture of him, because he was so cute, just laying there on his back getting his belly scrathed.

Song of the day:
Two steps from hell - Skyworld - Back to the earth
This song have been stuck in my head since I bought the album
